Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Formula 1 and Las Vegas

Kinda like the old Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups add where one guy is walking down the street eating a chocolate bar and a girl is walking toward him with peanut-butter, they bump into each other and he puts the chocolate in the peanut butter, and they are like “this is awesome!”
Thats how i feel about Las Vegas and Formula 1. Too good of an idea not to happen. I’d love to say there are more issues than meets the eye, such as the need for American drivers and an American based team (which I guess we have now), but those rooting interest consideration didn’t stop them from the bringing F1 to Indianapolis for a the US grand prix debacle of 2005.
Las Vegas can’t support a pro sports team. But they are the perfect event driven location. National Finals Rodeo, Boxing Mega fights etc. Barring all the ring kissing that would take place with F1, and their Don, Bernie Ecclestone . I expect it should be deal that both parties dream of.
Maybe Las Vegas is like me when I sit on the couch and I’m hungry. I could just walk into the kitchen and make a sandwich, but instead I just sit there doing nothing. Still Hungry.
If you build it they will come. Probably not only will F1 come out, but you would also get Superbike. If Vegas entrepreneurs are going to drop billions on huge new casino’s why can’t some one just put one of those billion into building a world class F1 circuit. Heck build it around a new casino, next to a casino.
Can this happen and release the pressure valve off of the US F1 market. I don’t know. But if I was a billionaire, I’d buy and build it now.
